I found some nice Shining Wisdom artwork and decided to upload it into our "Shining" gallery.

I never really played much Shining Wisdom, as it has a strange look to it. Its pre-rendered sprites look like they've been made from plastic while the surrounding visuals have more of a (rather sterile) SNES look to them.

But maybe I'll give it another go in the future, as I still have the game to my disposal.

Oh my, I updated stuff and then I only announced the news on Twitter.

This is especially ironic as I'm not really a fan of social media per se.

After I watched a Game Sack episode, I notice that I was a bit unjust to Working Designs in our company profile - I fixed that and updated the Working Designs report.

I'm also playing Shining The Holy Ark these days, and I started to fill up our screenshot gallery for that game.

Whoops, last month I forgot to add a "sprite of the month" for our corresponding section.

So this month, I'm allowing two characters to be presented there: The foster siblings Nanami and Riou from one of our most beloved games, Suikoden II.

If you want to enjoy more of Suikoden II, just use the search on the upper right corner of the website.

Or wait, I can do this for you! :)

I have thought about this for a long time, and I worked for it about equally as long.

So, I decided to bring back forums for this website - the ManiBoard!

This was first introduced way back in 2000, and it was on and offline for some time.

The forums themselves were always kind of successful - not too big, not too small.

These days, however, forums are on the verge of dying, so it seems. Most people spend their time in social media, may it be Discord, Twitter, Reddit, or even Facebook or Instagram gaming communites.

I don't know how successful new ManiBoard can be given these prerequisites, but I think there are some reasons for forums to still exist.

First of all, forums can be read in the public. It is great to find out about the topics people talk about without needing an account - something that social media always likes to have.

Secondly, I think it's good to have a community that doesn't track you, doesn't want to sell your data or make a profile about your online behavior. Maniboard doesn't do anything like this. It's just a platform for you to talk about games or your private life, if you like to.

So feel free to register. Just click on "Interact" in the menu, click ManiBoard and sign up!

I really like this artwork that has been published about Square Enix' Harvest-Moon-like game.

So I prepared some wallpapers that have been created using the official assets.
